OUR KIDS
The River Kids is for children age 4 to grade 5 in all the wonderful variety of temperaments and energy levels they come in. Some of our kids are here every week, others are only able to make it once or twice a month. At the River we value children and would love to have your child be a part of what we are doing.
WHAT WE DO
Our program includes stories, games, and crafts and is based on a curriculum called 252 Basics from Orange. 252 Basics takes kids through over 150 different bible stories but it all anchors back to teaching them three core truths:
-I need to make the wise choice
-I can trust God no matter what
-I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

OUR LEADERS
We don’t let just anyone work with children at The River. All of our volunteers have been through a screening process that includes a criminal background check. Many of them are also parents, and they don’t see themselves as babysitters but as caring adults who want to invest in the emotional, moral, and spiritual development of the next generation.
WHY WE DO IT
On the one hand - we believe kids are important. Jesus himself was known for always making time to interact with kids. On the other hand we get it - parenting is hard. And while we believe that God has given each of us the responsibility to raise our kids well, we also know that we all need help, and that’s what our kids program is about. It’s one of the ways we can come along side you in your parenting help you to raise kids who love Jesus and become awesome adults.
Nursery
We also have a clean, safe, and fully staffed nursery available for children from birth to 3 years. Our nursery is located in the hallway just to left as you enter the front door and make your way to the auditorium. You can drop your child off before the service begins, pick them up after, and of course you are welcome to come check on or pick up your child at any time.
